The Mind Body and Spirit Project was a collaborative partnership involving many community partners in Richmond County. Funding was made possible through the community funding stream with Mental Health and Addictions, Department of Health and Wellness, and the Municipality of the County of Richmond. The Dr. Kingston Memorial Community Health Centre was pleased to act as the official sponsor and provided the overall coordination for the project.

The Dr Kingston Memorial Community Health Centre is privileged to exist on Unama’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is governed by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” of 1726. The treaties established the rules for an ongoing relationship between nations.

In addition, we recognize African Nova Scotians as a founding people whose histories, legacies and contributions have enriched the part of Mi'kma'ki known as Nova Scotia for over 400 years.
